I bought another printer today. When set-up, i will have two for printing and another two for laser cutting. I also ordered another laser as well, this time its 2watt and not 500mw as my current one.
500mw isnt powerfull enought to cut the pads in 1-2 passes, but needs upto 4 and very slow. hopefully this can be speeded up when i get my orders in. Plan right now is to finish up the current orders of the MSX tilted sidepads, Monster and MS mudflaps. I then plan on filling up the stock for at least 1 week, printing every day before i again, open the store for new orders. I hope this buffer will help me to keep up, but we shall see.
MSX tilted side pads are superb. We need more pics to hold us off while they ship.
I have now modeled a mold/clamp to help me apply even pressure on the tilted pads while the glue used for the pads dry. Pads go on top of these colored plates. Here is a video as well. A couple of these and it should be faster, better and easier going forward. I have used tape to do the same job up until now, but its not the best solution.
Other than this. I got a 2nd printer already up and running and another more powerful laser on the way. :)
I was able to finish and send out 4 pairs of the msx tilted sidepads today. feels good. Now i only got 4 pairs left. and some extras added in one of them. I'll take next week as well just to build up some stock again, before going live. I also believe i have figured out some of the problems ive had as well. Still more to do and fix. every day.
When i have the foam already cut and plates already made, putting together a set takes me 5- 10 min only now. not bad i must say. they also look damn good :)
